Tell us about yourself and what you do?
I’m 21-years young & an art student. I have taken up adventure blogging in my free time, combining my passions of style, photography, and writing. I have always been in love with traveling, discovering new places, and meeting new people. Based in Minnesota, with a heart of wanderlust, I love to explore anywhere from the northern lakes & pines of my home state, to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where I went to high school, to the Pacific coast where I learned to love the sea, to dreamy southwestern deserts full of nostalgia and warm summer nights.
Describe your ultimate road trip?
Caravanning down the Pacific Coast Highway in the summertime with some of my best friends, in a VW Bus.
What are 3 of your must-have travel essentials?
Polaroid Instax camera
Plenty of sundresses
You travel a lot — how do you balance work/travel life?
I’ve always had the mindset that you always have time for the things you make time for. As a full-time student, double majoring, working towards a BFA and BA in Graphic Design with an emphasis in Business, I travel on the weekends I can, usually to places around Minnesota and Wisconsin — searching for A-Frame cabins and lake lookouts. In the summers, I’ve been able to travel even more, as I can do my graphic design and photography work from anywhere.
What’s your favorite thing about California?
The views! My dream is to go to Big Sur, but have loved traveling around Palm Springs, LA, Malibu, Santa Monica, and San Diego.
Beachside escape or desert dreamer, which do you prefer?
There’s definitely a special place for each in my heart — I’m in love with wherever I am — whether that be a dreamy dessert, a breathtaking ocean, or my Minnesotan home in the woods. Some of the best advice I’ve ever received is to be in love with your life, every moment of it.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned about yourself while traveling?
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” - Marcel Proust
